Rick and I celebrated our 7th anniversary by taking a trip to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN.  We left early Sunday morning and spent the night in the Smokies.  We don’t get the chance to get away all alone very often and we really enjoyed the time together.  We had planned to attend some musical shows, but as luck would have it, all shows were either already booked full or just not open because it was Sunday.  But that’s ok, we had a good time just walking thru both towns, eating a lot and just being together.  I guess next time we will have to remember to make advance reservations.  Happy Anniversary Rick…luv ya

Thanksgiving is a time to let God know how we appreciate all He has given us.  This picture was taken in October when Rick and I met with our family to celebrate our birthdays.  I just wanted to let you folks who visit this site know that these kids are the best in the world and Rick and I thank God every day for giving them to us.  HAPPY THANKSGIVING…love ya’ll.

A few years ago God blessed me with a beautiful red headed baby girl and life hasn’t been the same since that day.  And that special day just happened to be Thanksgiving Day and I’ve been giving thanks ever since.  Tami has grown into a great adult which includes giving me the two best granddaughters.  Happy Birthday Tami (Sam) and I look forward to many many more.  I love you.

Winter is on its way and as much as I love the beautiful snow, I really hate the cold temperatures.  As Fall fades into the background, God has left one tree in our back yard with plenty of beautiful and colorful leaves.  I grabbed the camera and snapped a few pictures and this one sort of compares the drab and leafless apple tree to what is left of the vibrant Fall colors left on the Ornamental Pear tree.
